An oligarchic, matriarchal society, a swarm of identical women in uniform and a black bob working day and night to maintain the common good. But what happens if one of them is unable to sustain the rigid violence ruling the small community?
Winner of the Semaine de la critique at Cannes, Brutalia, Days of Labour by Manolis Mavris is a metaphor of society seen as a beehive, marked by Greek nouvelle vague atmospheres, a dystopian short film on the sense of social alienation and isolation.
